But what is Green Coffee Bean Extract? They are coffee beans that are left unroasted. All coffee beans are initially colored green, that is until they get roasted to be sold in the market to consumers. This roasting process is what turns the green beans into a rich and deep brown color. It is common knowledge that Coffee Beans are rich in beneficial healthy compounds and have elevated amounts of antioxidants and these include Chlorogenic Acid and Caffeine. For green coffee beans, it is believed that the active ingredient is Chlorogenic acid which is believed to be the contributory compound for weight loss. Individuals should understandably be wary of such results as most of such studies were funded by corporations that profit from the manufacturing and sale of bean extract from green coffee. What are the Possible Side Effects or Risks?

Based on available information, extract from coffee beans is pretty well tolerated and mostly safe for a majority of individuals. However, several participants have also been removed from the studies due to UTI or urinary tract infection, and headaches.
