Nutricost BHB Salts

The ketogenic diet is one of the most well-known and effective weight management programs around. It basically involves a low carbohydrate and high-fat diet to induce the body to undergo ketosis. It’s a process by which the body uses fats and stored fats for an energy source instead of carbohydrates—which is the usual fuel source of the body. However, inducing ketosis is difficult. This is the part where keto diet supplements come in. Nutricost BHB Exogenous Ketone Salt, in particular, aids the stimulation of ketosis quickly, enhances cognitive capabilities and help you manage your weight. Aside from these beneficial effects, this product can also help athletes and gym-goers boost their performance level during training and workout sessions.

And side effects may occur if proper dosage is not followed, as indicated in the label or by a licensed healthcare expert. Some of the common side effects include:

Nutricost BHB Exogenous Ketone Salt contains an especially designed formula of Ketone Salts (4-in-1). It includes a combination of potassium, calcium, or sodium with exogenous beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), which improves the absorption process.

The Ketone Salts (4-in-1) formula can improve cognitive function, helps in weight management, and boost performance during a workout session. The product may also act as an anti-inflammatory agent. However, the exogenous ketone is found to be the most beneficial to people on a ketogenic diet. Thus, it makes this especially useful for individuals on a low carbohydrate diet and/or for those with an active lifestyle without resorting for additional carbs for an energy source.

Waaaay easier to swallow than the ketone ester

no problems with taking this mixed in water. the taste is ok – nothing to crow about, but not tasting poisonous is good – especially since some of the other types of ketones (esters) taste really really bad.

while it’s proven that ketone esters like KetoForce bump the blood ketones very quickly, they taste poisonous and are really hard to swallow. this unflavored ketone salt product tastes nothing like those – while it’s not exactly great tasting, it is easily taken in water and it goes fine in keto fatted coffee (coffee + C8 MCT).

it really bumps the blood ketones – gives a nice even boost – and it’s a great addition to my keto coffee. it has a very calming effect.

Tons of energy

This product works great!! I’m very sensitive when it comes to supplements, so I started out with 1/6 scoop. The first time I had a bit more of a clear mind with some extra energy. This was day 5 of Ketosis. I bought it initially because I had the worst Keto Flu imaginable. I was eating high fats, mod protein, and around 20 carbs a day. I felt like I was going to die. I was bed ridden, weak, sick, brain fog, and diarrhea for 3 days straight. I then took another 1/6 scoop and decided to test my blood ketone levels. I’m usually between 1-1.4, but after I took the 1/6 scoop, I was at a 7.2… tested it again and it was 6.8. I then felt completely amazing and had tons of energy for a few hours. So I do believe it works and it’s a great product based on the numbers. Made me feel so much better.

and this product seems to have given me the best results yet

I have taken at least 4 types of Ketone salts. I am lucky if I can see my body hit the first ketone mark. When I take keytones I may hit the second mark after 30-60 minutes. I thought I should check this product after I used it a couple days and I was clearly into the last color zone (80) which is the first time I have ever hit this. Granted I was possibly in close to keytone state, but my body has to remain under 20 grams of carbs to even start to get to that state, and this product seems to have given me the best results yet.

Great way to keep your electrolytes up for Keto, as well as help increase ketosis.

While listed as tasteless, this product indeed has no taste. I don’t say this in a bad way either, as usually a “tasteless” product has some sort of flavor or aftertaste to it. This does not. I usually mix one serving of the Nutricost 4-in-1 Exogenous Ketone Supplement, with one serving of the Nutricost C8 MCT Oil Powder, and one teaspoon of BulkSupplements Pure BCAA 3:1:2 (Branch Chain Amino Acids) Powder. Add 16 ounces of cold water and a shot of your favorite water enhancer and enjoy. Great for ramping up if you are about to start Keto and want to get into ketosis faster, or if you had a carb cheat day and want to make sure you get back into ketosis immediately. I usually drink one in the morning, and one in the evening. As for why I use this combo of supplements, it is one recommended by Dominic D’Agastino, a scientist who actively studies dietary ketosis and its effects/benefits.

Be careful with intestinal distress!

Works well, but man I tried 2 scoops one day and had the worst toilet issues of my life, I couldn’t leave the toilet for like 2 hours. Yikes!

Not worth the money!

Ripoff! I’ve ordered this product for over a year and just received this substitute, or replacement product that’s only got 11.7 grams of BHB salts per serving compared to 28 grams in the original, and still being priced at the same 50 bucks basically is absurd! Completely disappointed by having seller/manufacturer substitute what’s really an inferior product to it’s predecessor in both performance and value! Shameful!

One Huge Clump

This works, I guess, it came all clumped and is very hard to measure in this form. I think I need to ask for a refund. Only one other person complained about this so maybe it was a bad batch.

Micky-Mouse Packaging Changes I can understand changing the plastic tub title from “Ketone Salts” that everyone can recognize easily to “BHB Salts” (Feb/Mar 2019) which we figure out is Beta-HydroxyButyrate. Anyone with a degree in the nutritional sciences knows that “ketone” was always a little embarrassing because a ketone has an oxygen on the middle carbon and you can’t have a middle carbon in a chain that’s four carbons long.

What bugs me is changing a half-kilo tub to 466g. Sell a pound, a half-pound, a kilo or half-kilo. What’s with 466g in such fine print you can’t even see it online? Oh of course, it’s so you can reduce the “PER SERVING” size from 16g to 11.7g for my health and convenience. You’re selling servings, not ketone salts, and you can define a “serving” any way you want to. Fix this now. Do you want to get the supplement industry federally regulated and spoil everything for the rest of us?

Unusable Clumps  While the first two orders of this product were great, the following orders were clumped and almost impossible to use. It seems the paper seal never adhered to the jar. It had the consistency of soap powder which was exposed to excessive moisture. I reached out to the manufacturer with no response. I tried to “dry” the product myself, silica packs, etc. IMPOSSIBLE…..SAD. It is a great product otherwise.

Big waste of money. Did nothing for me. I follow a keto diet so it’s not like I was just eating whatever and expecting it to work. I actually gained some weight while on it which I did not want. So many Keto experts are pushing this stuff but I think it defeats the whole point if you are drinking ketones instead if letting your own body produce them. Just go out and buy some potassium and magnesium tablets, as they are way cheaper. This was a huge waste of money…wish I could return 🙁
